Brain Injury Awareness Day on Capitol Hill

The Congressional Brain Injury Task Force, co-chaired by Congressman Bill Pascrell and Congressman Todd Bacon, are sponsoring Brain Injury Awareness Day on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. The mission of the Congressional Brain Injury Task Force is to provide education and increase awareness of brain injury and the needs of individuals with brain injury and their families.  As in years past, several events will be hosted throughout the day. We will share the specific schedule when it is made available.

As in past years, BIAPA will be organizing a group to go to Capitol Hill on Brain Injury Awareness Day, with the primary goal of educating our legistators about the seriousness of all brain injuries, whether mild, moderate or severe.  Members of our group will share their experiences and the impact of brain injury on their lives.  If you are interested in joining the group from BIAPA going to Washington, DC to attend this event and would like to visit your legislators while you are there, please contact Monica Vaccaro, BIAPA Director of Programs, for more information: vaccaro@biapa.org.
